Jackie Liao is a professional 3D artist as well as an award-winning independent filmmaker in film / TV entertainment industry.

Born in Hsinchu city, Taiwan in 1978, Liao completed his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; however, instead of being an engineer, he decided to integrate his computer and engineering knowledge into his intense desire of creating art and being an artist. In 2003, Jackie began his study in Computer Arts at School of Visual Arts in New York City, the initial stage of his artistic life. He successfully received his Master of Fine Art degree and graduated with honor, as well as opened the gate for his career in computer graphics industry.

After couple years of production experience, Jackie has become a senior artist and worked on various broadcast and commercial projects for many of famous brands including: Universal, ESPN, NBC, abc, Syfy, Nicktoons, Sundance, TV Land, HGTV, DIY, Avon, Sprint, Whirlpool, LG and Mercury. Besides his profession, Jackie has made his mark as an independent filmmaker as well. His personal short film, a 3D animation "Dandelion", has been exhibited on over 40 film festivals and awarded numerous prizes around the world.

Jackie’s enthusiasm about art and computer graphics never declines; he is always looking for the new challenges to push his boundary, as well as strengthening himself to be a true artist with the permanent pursuit of exploring the art of moving images.
